Some child stars grow up to be the most famous people in the world (i.e. Leonardo DiCaprio or Ariana Grande), while others leave the spotlight so they can lead normal lives (like Malcolm in the Middle's Erik Per Sullivan). Sometimes, however, the choice to walk away from a once-successful acting career is mired in heartbreak.

1. Milly and Becky Rosso became known for their guest roles on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and they starred in the 2009 movie Legally Blondes. Alongside two of their sisters, they formed a girl group called The Rosso Sisters. However, after their mom died of cancer in 2015, they stopped making music and withdrew from Hollywood.
